Our history

Krickl Waagen Systeme GmbH, or KWS for short, is an Austrian company based in Stockerau.

KWS plans, develops and produces vehicle-mounted weighing systems and identification systems. These are sold throughout Europe.

KWS is one of the pioneers of mobile weighing. Herbert Krickl, the managing director, has been involved in the field since 1991. KWS has also been a manufacturer since 2001.

All of our certified solutions have been developed with a customer application in mind and are continuously optimized.

Based on our ISO9001:2015 quality management system certification, we meet our customers' high quality and reliability requirements.

‘Often, when we think we have reached the end of something, we are already at the beginning of something new’

It is with a wistful but also fulfilled heart that I have made the decision to take my well-deserved retirement. After many years of joint work and success, I am handing over the management of Krickl Weighing Systems GmbH to my wife, Emanuela Krickl. Mr Mathias Müller will take over my duties with immediate effect.

The development of on-board weighing began in 1991, when I developed the HK01 load cell especially for truck-mounted scales, which made the system interesting for the market.

When I founded KWS in 2001, I would never have imagined how far this journey would take me. It has been a journey full of challenges, successes, but above all full of co-operation and support from all of you.

It fills me with pride to see how our company has grown and the heights it has reached. Our technology has set new standards in our industry and made our customers' day-to-day work much easier.
